Our Youth
Youth At Risk.
Youth aged 19 and under now comprise 32% of the global population. A generation unlike any other, our youth has grown up with constant connectivity, and reshaped technology consumption. Both helpful and hurtful to one’s development, today's technology not only provides immediate gratification but also instant disappointment.
The increase in anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicide rates over the last 10 years is undeniably increasing at an alarming rate. Not only have individual circumstances led to these worsening statistics, today’s youth has also been born into a crisis period of little stability. Evolving social structures, changing household dynamics, global recession, social media, terrorism, mass shootings and climate change all have a major influence on the health of our youth.
These youth are at higher risk to perform poorly in school, miss out on important social experiences, and engage in substance abuse. Positivity is needed in young people’s lives more than ever.
“The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”
—Albert Einstein
Youth Empowered.
With so many statistics stacked against them, we feel the youth of today are largely misunderstood. While they are the most tech-reliant generation ever, they are also the most educated and sophisticated, with influence beyond their years.
Today’s youth has been accused of having an attention span shorter than its predecessors. We have redefined this statistic as an evolution of efficiency. While their 8-second filter is shorter, it is faster at curating what matters. If you can earn their focus and attention, they tend to remain loyal.
Their loyalty is seen in many areas such as social causes and being more conscious of the environment. They also value a healthy lifestyle much more than any previous generation. In our opinion, today’s youth are the most capable generation of shaping the future.
“We believe they are the most Powerful Generation ever. They just need some help to find the right path! They still need us and we need them. They are the future!”
—Tommy Jackson
